Officer placed on leave pending criminal investigation

A Shreveport police officer is on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of criminal charges filed against him by the Bossier City Police Department earlier today.

Sgt. Alain Pierce, 39, of Bossier City was placed on leave Saturday, April 17, after the department learned of the criminal investigation.

Pierce has been with the department since January, 1986. He is currently assigned to the Uniformed Services Division.
