Shreveport Police Department’s Vice Unit uncovered numerous violations during a Vice check at the H&H Lounge last night.
Vice, with assistance from SPD’s Street Level Interdiction Unit, detective’s office, patrol division and the Shreveport Fire Department’s Fire Prevention office, conducted the operation at the lounge located at 717 Hope Street.
Fifty-one people were either arrested or issued summonses to appear in court. These included 37 people cited for not having proper identification; 9 for being underage; 1 for drinking in public; 1 for city warrants; 1 for possession of Schedule II with intent to distribute/felon in possession of a firearm and 1 for possession of Schedule I.
The owner was issued summonses for the 9 people who were underage, for not having proper signs regarding age limits and for allowing drinking to take place in the parking lot.
Officers also seized 186 grams of marijuana, 15.9 grams of crack cocaine, 12 ecstasy tablets and one weapon.
The business was shut down until various fire code violations are corrected that include wiring problems, not posting a maximum occupancy sign in the building and for having the rear door chained and padlocked.
