Police search for carjacker

Shreveport Police Department needs the public’s help in locating a suspected carjacker.

Randy Bennett, 29, of Shreveport is wanted for carjacking for an incident that occurred on April 4 in the 4700 block of Gloria Street.

The 35-year-old victim had pulled her Cadillac into her driveway when she noticed a pickup truck behind her. Two black males approached her, pointed a gun at her and demanded she get out of the car. They tried to force her back into the car with them, but she ran to a neighbor’s house.

The suspects left in the Cadillac and the pickup truck, which contained another suspect.

Through their investigation, detectives secured an arrest warrant for Bennett. His bond has been set at $450,000.
