Mississippi man arrested for child molestation

Shreveport detectives today arrested a Jackson, Mississippi, man on a charge of molestation of a juvenile.

William Causey, 62, turned himself in to Sex Crimes detectives this afternoon.

He is accused of molesting a 14-year-old boy at a hotel while the two were in town for the Independence Bowl game in December 2002.

Shreveport police were contacted by the Flowood (Mississippi) Police Department about the Shreveport incident. Causey has been arrested for sexual battery charges there.

Causey was direct booked into the Caddo Correctional Center without incident.
