Shreveport police have arrested three suspects accused of participating in the beating and robbing of a taxi cab driver Sunday night.
Jermoxers Mitchell, 19, of the 2500 block of Vivian Street in Shreveport and Clifford Latin, 22, of Logansport are both charged with principal to aggravated robbery. Terrance Thomas, 19, of the 1900 block of Earl Street in Shreveport is charged with accessary to aggravated robbery.
A citizen with a video camera captured the beating, which occurred about 11:30 p.m. in the parking lot of a gas station in the 4000 block of Jewella Avenue.
The citizen sold the footage to KSLA-TV, which aired the tape on its Monday night newscast.
Latin saw himself on the news and came to the detective’s office Tuesday evening. From there, detectives made arrests of the other two suspects.
A fourth suspect is still outstanding. When arrested, he will face robbery charges. The investigation continues, and more charges are likely.
