Shreveport detectives have charged a 35-year-old woman and her 12-year-old son with aggravated battery in connection with a stabbing that occurred at a clothing store in the 9100 block of Mansfield Road.
Tina Sloan and the boy were charged last night after police responded to the store on a report of a fight.
When officers arrived, Tina Sloan was seen fighting female employee Cynthia Johnson, age and address unknown. Both were bleeding.
During the altercation, the boy allegedly hit the victim over the head with shoes and then a metal object. The blows to the victim caused a severe laceration to her head.
During the fight, the victim pulled out a box cutter and slashed the suspect several times.
Tina Sloan was taken to LSU Hospital. Johnson was taken to Willis-Knighton South. Two officers who were exposed to the blood were taken to Willis-Knighton North for infectious disease screening.
The victim and suspect reportedly were fighting over Sloan’s husband.
