Man robbed/knocked unconscious at pet store
The owner of Petland in the 1000 block of Pierremont was knocked unconscious during a robbery at his store this afternoon.
Chauncey Boyce, 75, was about to ring up a purchase from two black males when one of the men pulled a gun and demanded money. When Boyce resisted, he was knocked in the head with a blunt object.
When he came to, Boyce’s money and the suspects were gone. He was bleeding from his head. Shreveport Fire Department responded to the scene and transported Boyce to the hospital for his injuries.
The incident was reported about 2:15 p.m., although the owner did not know how long he was unconscious.
The suspects are described as:
#1: B/M, dark complected, 5'7", med build, age 19-25, newly braided hair
#2: B/M, dark complected, 5'7"-5'9", med build, short cropped hair, white and blue collared shirt and ball cap.
