A Shreveport man was arrested after being indicted last week by the Caddo Parish Grand Jury.
Willie McDuffy, 67, is charged with two counts of extortion and one count of malfeasance. The charges are in connection with incidents that occurred with two female jail inmates working on a Streets and Drainage project as part of the City Jail’s Work Release Program.
McDuffy, a Streets and Drainage employee at the time, is accused of fondling a female inmate’s breast and making lewd comments to her while in route to a work project. The case was opened in 2002 but did not conclude until another female inmate was recently located who made similar accusations against McDuffy.
Last week, the Grand Jury returned a sealed indictment against McDuffy. He was arrested and is currently being held in the Caddo Correctional Center on a $10,000 bond for each count.
If any other females experienced similar encounters with McDuffy, contact Detective Rita Caldwell as 673-6955.
