DARE Day today at Fairgrounds Field

About 3,500 Caddo Parish School students will be treated to a baseball game, hot dogs and demonstrations by various divisions of the Shreveport Police Department and Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office.

DARE Day with the Shreveport Sports begins at Fairgrounds Field around 9:30 a.m. Students who participated in the DARE program will see everything from Beat the Heat race cars to K-9 demonstrations.

They will then get to watch the Shreveport Sports play ball. Chief of Police Mike Campbell will throw out the first pitch around 10:30 a.m.
