Shreveport detective Kevin Goodwin has charged a Shreveport man with 51 counts of theft for stealing beer from a Circle K convenience store.
Freddie Goines, 46, was arrested for theft of beer from the Circle K at 2700 Lakeshore Drive on May 15. Upon investigation, detectives learned that he had been committing similar thefts at that location since March 28.
Goines has now been charged with 51 beer thefts -- crimes that add up to $1,715 worth of brew.
The investigation revealed that Goines stole mainly Budweiser and Bud Light, taking two cases at a time. Sometimes, he would allegedly commit 3 or 4 beer thefts in one day.
Goines reportedly was stealing the beer and trading it for drugs.
