Police look for identity of bank robber

Detectives are hoping that some pretty clear video captured from a surveillance camera will lead them to the man who robbed Bank One on March 9.

The man entered the bank in the 9000 block of Mansfield Road about 1:30 p.m. He jumped the counter, grabbed money from a teller’s cash drawer, jumped back over the counter and fled the bank. He was carrying a black duffle bag.

The man is described as a black male, between 6' and 6'2" tall, then with a medium complexion. He had short hair and was wearing a light colored pullover, denim shorts and possible white Air Jordan tennis shoes.

The man’s face can be clearly seen in the video, which consists of two still frames of the suspect. Anyone with information on his identity is asked to call Detective Shawn Parker at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7000. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
