Shreveport detectives are looking for a man accused of trying to suffocate his estranged wife with a rag filled with an unknown chemical.
Tyrone O’Neal, 30, of Shreveport is accused of aggravated second degree battery for an incident that occurred Tuesday morning.
O’Neal is accused of causing burns to the face of Carla Simpson, 28, of Shreveport at her home in the 100 block of Milam Street.
The incident occurred about 1 a.m. Tuesday when O’Neal reportedly entered the woman’s home and attempted to suffocate her with the rag. Simpson is currently in LSU Hospital.
A motive for the battery is being investigated at this time.
