Man wanted for aggravated burglary

Shreveport police are searching for a man wanted for aggravated burglary in connection with the break-in of his ex-girlfriend’s residence.

Scotty Shane Cayton, 34, of Shreveport is accused of breaking into the woman’s apartment in the 3000 block of Colquitt Road on July 3 and beating her up. The incident occurred while their 19-month-old child was sleeping.

The victim received 10 stitches to her scalp as a result of her injuries.

Anyone with information about Cayton’s whereabouts is asked to call Detective Shannon Mack at 673-6985 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7000.
