Three officers get promoted

Three Shreveport police officers will be promoted in a special ceremony at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 15.

They are:

• Eunice Wilkerson, who will be promoted to captain. She has been with the department since February of 1980. Captain Wilkerson will be assigned as the Bureau Commander for the Information Services Bureau.

• Steve Pierce, who will be promoted to lieutenant. He has been with the department since June of 1983. Lieutenant Pierce will be assigned to Midnight Shift Patrol.

• Carolyn Deal, who will be promoted to sergeant. She has been with the department since August of 1990. Sergeant Deal will be assigned as the Supervisor of the Department’s Financial Crimes Unit.

The ceremony takes place in the Police Assembly Room, located on the second floor of the Shreveport Police Department, 1234 Texas Ave.
