Suspect Arrested for narcotic violation

Sheriff Steve Prator and Chief Mike Campbell announced today the arrest of Daniel Elston for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and manufacture of methamphetamine along with the arrest of Greggory Aucoin for attempted battery of a police officer and resisting arrest.

On Wednesday, Agents of the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at Elston’s residence located in the 7200 block of Greywood Drive, Blanchard, La. During the execution of the search warrant, agents seized approximately 10.5 grams of methamphetamine (street value $1050.00), one bullet resistant vest, two sets of digital scales, three shotguns, one .45 caliber handgun, and one methamphetamine lab that had been recently used to manufacture methamphetamine. Also during the execution Greggory Aucoin was arrested and charged with resisting an officer and attempted battery of a police officer.

Agents will seek federal firearm charges against Elston in reference to the weapons that were discovered inside the residence.
