JOINT EFFORT CAPTURES DRUG DISTRIBUTOR

Sheriff Steve Prator and Chief Mike Campbell announced today the arrest of a 65 year old white female identified as Jean Crain for possession of Xanax, Methadone, and Lortab with intent to distribute and possession of methamphetamine "ice".

On Sunday, August 15, 2004 agents of the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit along with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office K-9 division conducted a traffic stop of Crain’s vehicle without incident. Intelligence information was developed indicating Crain was returning from Houston Texas with possible narcotics. The traffic stop netted hundreds of Xanax, Methadone and Lortabs. A subsequent search of Crain’s residence, 5000 block of Dixie Garden Drive in south Caddo Parish, yielded hundreds more Xanax, Lortab and Methadone tablets including a small amount of Methamphetamine "Ice". All drugs seized from the vehicle and residence have a street value of approximately $30,000.00

Crain was arrested and booked into CCC for Possession with intent to Distribute Schedule II, Possession with intent to Distribute Schedule III CDS and Possession of Sch. II Methamphetamine "Ice".
