Warrant Issued For Bird Thief

On August 19, 2004, Jessie Caldwell, b/m, 10/28/80 and his two accomplices (a B/F and a small child) entered Pet Zone and while the two accomplices distracted store employees, Caldwell stole one White Front Faced Amazon Parrot named "Willie" who retails for $500.00.

Caldwell then sold the bird for $115.00 to a Texaco store employee, who took the bird back to the same store it was stolen from. Employees recognized the bird and called police. Caldwell was identified out of a line up by store employees. Willie was malnourished and mistreated but alive.

A warrant has been issued for Felony Shoplifting with a bond of $5000.00.
