Robbery Suspect Arrested

Today at approximately 6:52 AM, police responded to a physical assault/armed robbery, at 1426 Acorn. Shortly after arriving, police attempted to take the suspect Brian Garner, 28 of Baton Rouge, into custody. Garner violently resisted police by jerking away and was subsequently brought under compliance with the deployment of a taser to the chest and abdomen areas. Shreveport Fire Department responded to the scene to render first aid. Other than taser probe markings, Garner sustained no visible injuries

Garner was booked into the city jail for Armed Robbery and other felony charges.
