Police arrest two

Shreveport police have arrested two people on charges stemming from two different cases:

• Fred Temple, 10-17-78, of Shreveport is charged with simple kidnaping and simple robbery in connection with an incident that occurred Nov. 12 at 3 p.m. Temple is accused of forcing his girlfriend into his car, making her cash her paycheck to pay for gas and battering her. He was also arrested on 21 misdemeanor warrants. This incident began in the 700 block of Southport.

• Marcus Batts, 8-8-72 , of Shreveport is charged with armed robbery for allegedly beating up a man and taking his money in the 3000 block of Greenwood Road at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday night (Nov. 17). The victim, Nasim "Sam" Falah, was struck in the head and face with a brick. Falah was transported to the hospital by private auto, and officers were able to locate Batts in a car at the corner of Patzman and Dowling.
