FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Police seek suspects in two cases
(Surveillance video in media box)
Police are looking for suspects in two separate cases, one a theft from a gas station and the other a shoplifting and assault at Target. Here’s a rundown of those cases:
• On November 16th, at approximately 2:30 in the afternoon, a man entered the Exxon gas station in the 9000 block of Mansfield Road and stole some lottery tickets and some rolled coins. While the store owner and the manager were engaged elsewhere in the store, the suspect entered the store office and took the items. The suspect is described as 5'7", 140 pounds, with a thin mustache. He was wearing a checkered "bucket" hat.
• On November 17th, at approximately 4:30 in the afternoon, the man shown in the video entering the Target store was later observed shoplifting several video games. When store employees attempted to stop the suspect, a struggle ensued. During the struggle, the suspect bit one of the employees. Although the employees were able to get one handcuff on the suspect, he was able to get loose and run away. He fled the scene in a 1990 blue Cadillac Deville, with Louisiana plates, # ATA568.
Anyone with information about either of these crimes is asked to call Crimestoppers at 673-7300.
