Man wanted for kidnaping

Shreveport police have obtained an arrest warrant for a man accused of holding a female employee against her will, tying her up and beating her.

Jimmy Pratt, 37, of Shreveport is wanted for second-degree kidnaping for an incident that started at his place of business, Pratt Automotive.

The 35-year-old Shreveport woman was held against her will, beaten and locked inside the trunks of two different cars in the incident that began Sunday.

On Monday afternoon, Pratt allegedly placed the woman inside of a vehicle he drove to a convenience store. She managed to escape and run to a nearby restaurant for help.

Pratt left the scene and is currently being sought. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call detectives at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7000.
