Police investigate shooting

Shreveport police are investigating a shooting that occurred at the Pel-State Fina station in the 500 block of East Washington last night.

The incident occurred about 8 p.m. while the victim was using the pay phone.

David Mann, 22, of Shreveport was at the phone when two black males drove up beside him and began talking to him. Moments later, Man ran from the location into the store, with the vehicle pursuing and the passenger firing multiple rounds at him.

Mann was shot three times in the back with a small-caliber handgun. He was taken to LSU Hospital. His injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.

It is unknown why the shooting happened. If anyone has information on his case, call detectives at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7000.
