Man charged with DWI, hit and run

A Shreveport man is charged with driving while intoxicated and vehicular negligence injuring for an accident that critically injured a pedestrian.

Rodarra Hunter, 29, of Shreveport is also charged with driving with a suspended license and no seat belt for the accident that occurred in the 6900 block of Line Avenue at 6:50 p.m. yesterday.

Pedestrian Charles Webert, 50, of Shreveport was critically injured when he was struck by Hunter, who was driving a 1984 Toyota Tercel.

Hunter apparently didn’t see Webert until it was too late. Webert was transported to LSU Hospital by the Shreveport Fire Department.
