Police search for suspect

Shreveport police are looking for a man wanted for aggravated second degree battery for a case that occurred at 8 a.m. on Dec. 12.

Robert Ellis, 49, of Shreveport is accused of breaking the wrist of his ex-girlfriend during an argument in the 200 block of St. Luke. Ellis allegedly attacked the woman with a piece of wood as she was holding her grandchild. She shielded herself and the child with her arm, which resulted in her injury.

Bond for Ellis has been set at $20,000. Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Ellis is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 673-7000 or detectives at 673-6955.
