Police to host Town Hall meetings

Shreveport Police Department will be hosting several upcoming town hall meetings, with the first two taking place this Thursday night.

One meeting is set for the David Raines Community Center for residents of north Shreveport, also known as Police Area 1. The meeting runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The second meeting is for residents of Police Area 4, which includes the Hollywood and Cedar Grove neighborhoods. The meeting also begins at 5:30 p.m. and will be held at Union Baptist Church, 568 Sasafrass Ave. (located east off Wallace Avenue between West 70th Street and West 62nd Street).

Members of the SPD Community Oriented Policing Bureau will be on hand to address any concerns, and all citizens are welcome. Other city department and dignitaries also will be present.
