Rape arrest

A 20-year-old man is in jail after he was arrested for raping a woman at a home in the 1000 block of Huntington this morning.

Michael Hamilton of Shreveport is charged with simple rape for the incident that occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Hamilton is accused of having sex with an unwilling 17-year-old female, who was at the residence with another man at the time of the incident.

Hamilton is believed to have been hiding in the house and emerged when the other man left the room. She tried to fight him off but was unsuccessful. The investigation continues into this case.
