To celebrate the 2d annual military, police, and firefighter appreciation day, the Harley-Davidson Motor Company of Shreveport/Bossier City will be hosting Guns and Hoses. Members of the Shreveport police and fire departments, along with the Louisiana State Police, Caddo Sheriffs, and Barksdale AFB will be participating. The event will be held at the Harley-Davidson store, and demonstrations will include the jaws of life, ladder rappels, and the mounted and K-9 units. The Barksdale Honor Guard will perform a guard salute at 10:00 a.m. to open the day, with events scheduled from 11-4 p.m. There will be free food, live music, a kid’s corner, and Harley discounts for servicemen and women with ID.
