Shooting suspect sought

Shreveport Police are looking for a man wanted for aggravated battery in connection with a shooting last week in the 2800 block of Freddie Street.

Alvin Steward, 19, of Shreveport is accused of shooting his father with a shotgun at 2:30 p.m. April 3. The father, 40-year-old Alvin Jones was shot in the leg. He was taken to LSU Hospital with a non life-threatening injury.

Anyone with information on Steward's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 673-7373 or detectives at 673-6955.
