More arrested on drug charges

Eight more people have been arrested as a result of an ongoing investigation that started with Monday's arrest of 28-year-old Roy McClinton for drug distribution.

SLIU Agents along with assistance from Vice Agents, Intelligence Agents, K-9, patrol and traffic officers have conducted drug corner checks where Agents have received drug complaints and have made drug arrests in the past in the city of Shreveport.

During this operation, Agents seized a total of approximately 4.3 pounds of powder and crack cocaine with a street value of approximately $200,000, $12,134.00 cash, 82 grams of marijuana, 1 SKS rifle, seized 1 vehicle used to store narcotics, and made 9 felony arrests.

All nine people arrested in this operation are from Shreveport. They are:

Cordnia Parks, 19, of 715 Browning Street, arrested for Poss. of Sch I 2nd offense

Samario Webb, 18, of 2929 Peach Street, arrested for Poss of Sch I with intent to distribute

Curtis Smith, 43, of 1936 Russell Road, arrested for Poss of Sch II with intent to distribute

Charles Robinson, 37, of 1861 Jamison Street, arrested for Poss of Sch II with intent to distribute

Glazier May, 21, of 1803 Booker T. Washington, arrested for Poss of Sch II with intent to distribute

Joshua Washington, 21, of 4130 Robinhood, arrested for Poss of Sch I with intent to distribute

Roy McClinton, 28, of 1305 Louis Street, arrested for Poss of Sch II with intent to destitute

Roosevelt McKinney Jr., 46, of 4124 Carver Street, arrested for Poss. of Sch II

Colinzo Bell, 26, of 5700 Roberts Street, arrested for Poss of Sch II with intent to distribute.

Also today, the Caddo-Shreveport Street Level Interdiction Unit along with Probation and Parole responded to 1407 Glen Oak and seized approximately 33 marijuana plants and growing paraphernalia, along with a small amount of manicured marijuana. Agents arrested R.L Johnson, 46, of Shreveport and charged him with manufacture and cultivating marijuana.
