Police recruits to hold charity for Shriner’s Hospital

Class 55 will conduct their charity run this Thursday at 7 a.m. and graduate from the police academy the next day at 9 a.m. This year's proceeds go to Shriner's Hospital.

The run begins at 7 a.m. and is a 9-mile run from the Shreveport Police Regional Academy to the Shreveport Police Department.

As a tradition for police recruits, the run is held the day before graduation from the academy. The graduation takes place at 9 a.m. Friday, June 9, at the police academy auditorium, 6440 Greenwood Road.
