FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MLIU arrest one after 2 months

Mid-Level Interdiction Unit concluded a two month investigation into the narcotic activities involving a black male identified as Brandon Johnson d.o.b. 6-7-83.

Agents arranged for Johnson to deliver 100 Ecstasy tablets to the intersection of Greenwood and Jewella Road. When the agents attempted to take Johnson into custody, Johnson fled the scene.

Johnson led Agents on a high speed pursuit where he eventually threw out what was believed to be 100 ecstasy tablets onto I-20. Johnson was taken into custody at his house in the 1400 block of Clanton Street after becoming involved in a crash with one of the pursuing Agents.

Agents recovered 77 ecstasy tablets on I-20 where Johnson had thrown them out. Johnson was arrested and charged with Aggravated Flight from an Officer and Possession with intent to Distribute Sch I.

A black female identified as Brittney Perkins d.o.b. 7-3-87, from New Orleans, was a passenger in Johnson's vehicle but was eventually released. Perkins was listed as a missing person since Hurricane Katrina.

Special thanks to Caddo K-9 and SLIU Agents for their assistance in the apprehension of Johnson.
