Two children 4 and 1 years old were taken to LSU Health Science Center for cuts and bruises after they were ejected from the car they were riding in last night on Mansfield road and west 70th street.
The 4 year old was not restrained in the car while the 1 year old was in a car seat but it was not secured inside the vehicle. Both children are listed in stable condition with cuts and bruises.
Ashley Henderson was turning left from Mansfield road onto 70th street when her Seabring was broadsided by Martha Lloyd’s Oldsmobile Cutlass traveling southbound on Mansfield road. Henderson was cited for the child restraint violations.
Lloyd told police she had a green light but was cited for the red light violation based on the light cycle and outside witness information. She and her daughter Paureeka were not injured and Lloyd was brought in to traffic enforcement and tested for alcohol. She was determined to have 0.00% BAC.
A Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Deputy was turning in front of Williams and verified she was turning on the protected turn as did a second outside witness.
