Two Arrested for Fairy Street shooting

Shreveport Police have arrested two brothers involved with a shooting incident which Claiming the life of Rashon Brown. The Shooting took place in the 3000 block of Fairy last Sunday night.

Jacobi Church and his brother Jamarcus Church of 2627 Quinton in Shreveport were arrested Thursday night (June 8). Jacobi has been charged with First Degree Murder, while his brother has been charged with Attempted First Degree Murder. Jacobi is charged with the murder of Rashon Brown and the wounding of Cedric Hall. Jamarcus admitted that both he and Jacobi were shooting at the vehicle. Jacobi Church has denied the incident.

On Sunday Night (June 4) at approximately 9:50pm Shreveport police responded to a shooting call in the 3000 block of Fairy. Upon arrival, officers found a white Crown Victoria at Fairy and Drexel with Rashon Brown in the driver's seat. Brown was pronounced deceased at scene by the Shreveport Fire Department.

The Crime scene stretched from Fairy and Drexel, to 3000 block of Woodford. Numerous shell casings found in street. Cedric Hall (of 3032 Woodford) showed up at LSUHSC suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. When Shreveport police talked to Hall and witnesses at scene, it was learned that Hall had an argument with three (3) unknown black males on Woodford. The black males walked away to the 3000 Fairy. Hall got into the vehicle with Brown, and drove onto Fairy.

That’s when multiple shots were fired. Hall got out of the vehicle and ran back to Woodford seeking help. The suspects fled on foot.
