Police investigate death of child

Shreveport Police, along with Shreveport Fire Department responded to a house in the 3400 block of Clarke Street Sunday morning regarding a report of a child not breathing.

The 5 month old child was placed into bed with four other juveniles around 11:30pm Saturday. At nine in the morning the child was cold to the touch and not breathing.

The coroner’s office has taken control of the body and will perform an autopsy to determine the actual cause of death.
