Raid nets nearly $200,000 worth of Drugs

Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit arrested four people, seized over $181,000 worth of illegal street drugs,$18,000 cash, three guns, three cars and two big screen televisions during an operation that took place about 5 a.m. today.

Willie Baber, 24, of the 2000 block of Bermuda was the subject of a 2 1/2-month long investigation by the Mid Level Investigative Unit. Agents searched his house this morning and uncovered a kilo of cocaine worth about $100,000 on the street. They also seized $7,000 in illegal narcotics proceeds. Baber was arrested and charged with possession of over 400 grams of cocaine, as was another resident at that location, 22-year-old Michelle Dahl.

After arresting Baber, agents served two search warrants at other drug houses in which he was involved. In the 1000 block of Babylon, agents arrested 39-year-old Ronnie Mandigo on a charge of possession of Schedule I with intent to distribute. They seized seven pounds of marijuana with an approximate street value of $7,000, along with about $11,000 in illegal narcotics proceeds.

In the 2600 block of Westover, agents arrested 30-year-old Shirley Davis and charged her with possession of over 200 grams of Schedule II and possession of drug paraphernalia. Agents seized seven ounces of cocaine and drug paraphernalia including scales.
