Christmas in June

The second and final phase of Operation Santa Claus's Christmas in June project will take place tomorrow (Saturday, June 17) from 10 a.m. to noon at the Wal-Mart on Airline Drive in Bossier City.

As you know, Operation Santa Claus serves less fortunate children in Shreveport and Bossier each Christmas. But this year, the OSC board wanted to do something extra for those children, so they sponsored "Christmas in June." Each child that received toys last Christmas may come to Wal-Mart for a voucher to purchase items they may need or want.

Part I of Christmas in June took place on June 3 for Shreveport children. It was a success, with many children picking out summer clothes and summer toys such as inflatable pools and water guns! One mom even bought a big package of diapers for her baby. Those things add up!
