FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Police need help finding a stalker

A Shreveport man is behind bars on four counts of stalking girls in the Long Lake subdivision.

Joseph Kennedy Harmon, 39, of the 1200 block of Pennington Circle is accused of sending love letters to four different juvenile girls in his neighborhood. He has made calls to several of the girls and in some of the letters, attempted to get the girls to sneak out of their homes at night to meet him.

These cases have reportedly been going on since December 2003 to the present. The four victims included girls who were between the ages of 13 and 16 at the time of the incidents.

While no sexual activity occurred in these cases, all of the victims reported feeling alarmed and emotionally distressed.

Harmon was convicted last year in Bossier City for a similar stalking of a 13-year-old girl. It is possible there are more victims out there.

Anyone with information about Harmon is asked to call Detective Jimmy Ray at 673-7020 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
