SPD promotes two officers

Shreveport Police Department promoted two officers Friday -- one to the rank of sergeant and another to the rank of lieutenant.

Those promoted and their new rank are:

* Lt. Cleat Temple, who has been with the department since Aug. 20, 1984.

* Sgt. Hans Hopkins, who has been with the department since Aug. 27, 1990.

Both will be working as patrol supervisors.
