Jackson Mississippi fugitive caught in Shreveport

Members of the Shreveport Police Departments Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team arrested a fugitive Tuesday who was wanted by the Jackson Mississippi Police Department.

Ladarien D. Brackens, 40 of Shreveport, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault after he allegedly shot a store clerk during a robbery in Jackson. After the robbery Brackens moved back to Shreveport.

Also arrested Tuesday was the manager of the Sonic restaurant on Greenwood road where Brackens worked. Christopher Yeglic, 41 of Haughton, who was contacted by Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team and shown a picture of Brackens. Yeglic told the Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team brackens wasn't there then told Brackens the police were looking for him.

When it was learned he help the suspect evade arrest, Yeglic was arrested for obstruction of justice and booked into the city jail.
