Man arrested for beating up ex-girlfriend

Shreveport Police arrested a man last Friday and charged him with aggravated battery.

Morrell Morris, 44 of Shreveport, entered his ex-girlfriends house in the 2800 block of Jackson Street on May 1 and found her along with her new boyfriend in the bedroom.

Morris proceeded to start beating his ex-girlfriend while his two friends took the boyfriend into the laundry room and pistol whipped him. Neither victim had to be hospitalized.

Morris is currently being held on a $25,000 bond.
