Police Pastor Program to mark anniversary

The Shreveport Police Department's Police Pastor Program will celebrate its sixth anniversary with several upcoming events.

The first event is a Youth Activity Day planned for this Saturday, Aug. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bilberry Park, 1905 Alabama. Various activities are planned for an estimated number of 700 local children.

Other events include a Police Pastor Ride Out on Thursday, August 24, at 3:00pm. The pastors will attend the 3:00pm roll call and ride out with the evening shift officers.

The 6th Annual Pastor's Anniversary service will be Sunday, August 27, 2006, 6:00pm, at Linwood Baptist Mission, 1622 Midway.
