Officer Wilson’s Funeral Service

Funeral services have been finalized for Officer Adam Wilson, who died on Saturday while on duty.

Wilson's funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Summer Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Martin Washington of Coushatta officiating.

Burial will be at Starlight Cemetery, located on Highway 1 South in Armistead La. (north of Coushatta).

Visitation will be this Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Summer Grove.

A bank account has been set up for Wilson's family at Capital One under the name of Officer Adam W. Wilson Memorial Fund.

No cause of death has been determined at this time.

Officer Wilson died Saturday after being found unresponsive in his patrol car in the 3300 block of Darien Street.  His exact cause of death has not been determined. However, an autopsy was expected to take place this afternoon.

Wilson left behind a wife and three daughters. His widow is a full-time nursing student, and the girls are ages 1, 7 and 9.
