3 arrested for murder

Shreveport Police Department has arrested three people in connection with the homicide of Kenneth Wayne Pipkins.

Pipkins, 50, was found deceased in an abondoned house in the 100 block of Leroy on Sunday afternoon. Pipkins reportedly was homeless and living in the house.

Arrested Tuesday night was Gabriel Mitchell, 17, of Shreveport. He and two 15-year-old juveniles were taken into custody and booked on charges of first-degree homicide.

Information obtained during the investigation helped link the suspects to the crime. Thanks to the cooperation of concerned citizens, this case resulted in arrests.
