Pendleton Shooting arrest

Shreveport police arrested a man who is believed to have conspired to rob or kill another man at the Pendleton Apartments at 9 p.m. Sunday.

Ronnie Pea and Lavelle Law, both age 22 from Shreveport, are believed to have attempted to either rob or shoot a man in the 1000 block of Sprague Street. However, the plan allegedly backfired when the intended victim pulled a weapon and fired at Law, fatally wounding him. Law ran a short distance, and his body was found in the 400 block of Mary Court a couple of hours later.

The intended victim ran away, but Pea allegedly chased him and fired several times at him but missed. Information obtained in the investigation revealed the plot and resulted in Pea's arrest for felony aggravated assault with a firearm.

The entire case will be forwarded to the Caddo Parish District Attorney's Office for review.
