One man arrested for Rape

The suspect in this case, Alfredo Rodriguez Gonzalez, has been captured in New Braunfels, Texas.

The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force captured Gonzalez Friday evening and is holding him on a warrant for an aggravated rape that occurred on Sept. 9 at 7800 Youree Drive. He is expected to be brought back to Shreveport some time this week. The U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service has placed a hold on him because he is in this country illegally.

The truck stolen by the two suspects was recovered in the Austin area last week after an officer policing an apartment complex found that the truck had been reported stolen. At that time, the suspect got away. But the truck was being processed as evidence in the Shreveport case.

The investigation into a second suspect involved in the Shreveport rape continues.

Shreveport Police have gotten a warrant for one of two men believed to have entered a couple's apartment, tied up the husband and raped the wife last weekend.

Alfredo Rodriguez Gonzalez, 29, of the 11000 block of Ferguson Road in Dallas, Texas, is wanted for aggravated rape that occurred about 1 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9., in the 7800 block of Youree Drive.

The suspects knocked on the door, and the female victim opened it. She had recognized them because he had been doing some roofing work at the complex.  The suspects walked into the apartment and began battering both the man and woman. The suspects demanded money and then tied up man and sexually assaulted the woman.

They then took a set of keys and stole the couple's 2006 Chevy Silverado, extended cab, license #La. W917300.

Detectives got a warrant from Gonzalez, but are still looking for information about the second suspect.
