The Shreveport Police are asking the public to help find a man who has gone missing from Dallas Texas. Mr. Mitchell Buchanan, a 70 year old Dallas man who police said suffers from Alzheimer’s disease is missing after leaving his home in Dallas nearly 2 weeks ago. His truck was found last week in Tyler, Texas. Police said Mitchell Buchanan left his home driving a gray 1996 Dodge pickup. The vehicle located on Interstate 20 in Smith County near Tyler Texas. Police think he may have caught a ride with someone and trying to get Shreveport Louisiana where he often visited the Casinos with family. Mr. Buchanan had just been released from the hospital, and had not driven a vehicle in several months, according to police. He was described as 6 feet, 4 inches tall and 230 pounds with gray hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a Dallas Cowboys cap. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr. Buchanan is asked to call the Shreveport Police Department at 673-BLUE or crimestoppers at 673-7373 The Public can also log on to the crimestoppers website www.crimestoppersshreveportcaddo.com if they have any information about Mr. Buchanan.
