Body in river Identified

Shreveport police have identified a man found floating in the Red River on Nov. 2.

The body of Tyrone Brandly, 52, of Shreveport was found near RiverView Plaza about 11:30 a.m. He apparently died of drowning, although detectives are investigating the death to make sure no foul play was involved.

Police were able to identify Brandly after family members filed a missing persons report. He had last been seen by a friend on Oct. 25.
