Lady dies from Oct. 5 Accident

Dorothy Pipkins died yesterday as a result of this accident. See below for details.

Driver:  Dorothy Pipkins, B/F, 79 years old, 7401 St. Vincent avenue
Passenger 1: Inah Phillips, B/F, 89years old, 7401 St. Vincent avenue  
Passenger 2: Elishia Adams, B/F, 26 years old, 417 W. 74th street (Phillips Granddaughter) 

Summary: Witnesses advised that Pipkins drove her 2005 Ford Focus onto the lot of the Circle K on the south east corner of W.70th and Linwood striking a small truck in the side. For unknown reasons Pipkins accelerated off of the lot away from the crash scene and onto north bound Linwood. She then turned onto the Chevron lot and then onto the vacant lot next door accelerating into the wall where the vehicle came to rest. Adams was the rear passenger and was thrown into the front seat area. Phillips was the front seat passenger and suffered a compound fracture of her right ankle. All three women were transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department with what was described to us as critical injuries. Blood was drawn on Pipkins at the hospital and we were advised that all three women's injuries are severe but stable. Investigation to continue.
