Refuse to be a victim

Home burglaries and robberies go up during the holidays, so the Community Oriented Policing Bureau is offering the Refuse to Be A Victim class to the citizens of the Shreveport-Bossier communities.

Instructors Sgt. K. Grant and Neighborhood Assistance Team Officer Sandra Lister will conduct the class on Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The training course will be conducted at the Shreveport Regional Police Training Academy, located at 6440 Greenwood Road. Topics to be discussed include personal security, home security, residential burglary prevention, Internet fraud, identity theft and forgery prevention.
