DWI checkpoint this weekend

The DWI Unit will be out in full force this weekend, checking for drunk drivers and enforcing DWI laws.

Besides patrolling for drunk drivers, the unit also will conduct a DWI checkpoint somewhere in east Shreveport beginning at 10 p.m. on Friday night.

This operation is being funded by a grant from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
